Position Title Account Clerk
Job Description / Responsibilities
Ø Maintain up-to-date billing system
Ø Generate and send out invoices
Ø Follow up on, collect and allocate payments
Ø Carry out billing, collection and reporting activities according to specific deadlines
Ø Perform account reconciliations
Ø Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities
Ø Research and resolve payment discrepancies
Ø Generate age analysis
Ø Review AR aging to ensure compliance
Ø Maintain accounts receivable customer files and records
Ø Follow established procedures for processing receipts, cash etc
Ø Process credit card payments
Ø Prepare bank deposits
Ø Investigate and resolve customer queries
Ø Process adjustments
Ø Develop a recovery system and initiate collection efforts
Ø Communicate with customers via phone, email, mail or personally
Ø Assist with month-end closing
Ø Collect data and prepare monthly metrics
Ø Posts customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
Ø Updates receivables by totaling unpaid invoices.
Ø Maintains records by microfilming invoices, debits, and credits.
Ø Resolves valid or authorized deductions by entering adjusting entries.
Ø Resolves invalid or unauthorized deductions by following pending deductions procedures.
Ø Resolves collections by examining customer payment plans, payment history, credit line; coordinating contact with collections department.
Ø Summarizes receivables by maintaining invoice accounts; coordinating monthly transfer to accounts receivable account; verifying totals; preparing report.
Ø Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Ø Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
Ø Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Desired profile of the candidate
ü Minimum 1 years UAE experience, Overall 2+ years of full cycle accounting;
ü Commitment to the Vision, Values and Mission of the company;
ü Attention to detail and strong critical-thinking skills;
ü Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field;
ü Knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures;
ü Effective language, punctuation, spelling and communication skills;
ü Computer skills with knowledge of various software including but not limited to, data bases; spreadsheets, and word processors;
ü Ability to use sense of hearing for telephone contact with employees and vendors;
ü Ability to exercise discretion and maintain customer and employee confidentiality;
ü Ability to work within the framework of a management team.
