The Marketing Assistant is involved in all aspects of the marketing process including: planning; advertising; promotion; public/media relations; product development; distribution and research.
o Provides assistance for day-to-day marketing activities, including correspondence, production and creative deadlines, etc
o Liaises and networks with a range of stakeholders including customers, colleagues, suppliers and partner organizations
o Contributes to marketing plans and strategies
o Manages the production of marketing materials, including leaflets, posters and flyers.
o Assists in agendas, conference reports, proposals, campaigns, correspondence and other materials related to account service, production quotes/purchase orders, mailings, final copy, media plans and others
o Carries out competitor analysis monitoring their activities
o Assists in the coordination of trade shows, meetings, and events
o Supports the development of the website (i.e. website content update/ proofreading/ copywriting)
o Takes on additional projects/responsibilities as needed
o Manages social media accounts on a daily basis
o Sourcing advertising opportunities and placing adverts in the press - local, regional, national and specialist publications - or on the radio, depending on the organisation and the campaign
o Managing budgets
o Maintaining and updating customer databases
o Supporting the marketing manager and other colleagues.
o Daily/Weekly contact with the VP of Marketing as a direct report, to discuss strategy, plans, progress, issues, etc.
o Daily/Weekly contact with all staff to discuss progress, implementation of plans, share ideas, seek information and support
o Monthly contacts with external local organizations (i.e. agencies, supplier companies) to develop and execute synergetic tools.
