(Repair & Maintenance)
Repair, adjust, or install all types of electric or gas household appliances, such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, cooking ranges, microwave, stoves, water cooler, fans and ovens etc.
Trace electrical circuits, following diagrams, and conduct tests with circuit testers and other equipment to locate shorts and grounds.
Replace worn and defective parts such as switches, bearings, transmissions, belts, gears, circuit boards, or defective wiring.
Talk to customers or refer to work orders in order to establish the nature of appliance malfunctions.
Reassemble units after repairs are made, making adjustments and cleaning and lubricating parts as needed.
Record maintenance and repair work performed on appliances.
Provide repair cost estimates, and recommend whether appliance repair or replacement is a better choice.
Must know how to connect water or gas lines, and how to check for leaks once the appliances are installed.
Instruct customers on how to operate the appliances properly.
Must know how to dismantle and reassemble appliances to make their diagnosis.
Other job duties may include record keeping, bill preparation, repair estimates and inventory control.
Report completed and ongoing tasks to the Supervisor on a daily basis.
Has minimum of 2-3 years of experience
