� Minimum 7 to 15 years� experience in Microsoft SQL Server database technologies.
� Expert level in SQL performance tuning using SQL execution plan, SQL profiler, and other DB tools.
� Experience in creating SSIS packages, SQL job scheduler, and report scheduler.
� Experience creating conceptual, logical and physical data models.
� Capable of troubleshooting common database issues.
� Understanding of code promotion, version control, and QA procedures.
� Experience with database administration and maintenance (upgrade, backup, recovery, migration)
� Knowledge of best practices when dealing with relational databases.
� Experience in creating and deploying parameterized reports, drill throughs and drill downs.
� Experience with replication among MS-SQL Server databases.
� Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
� Create databases from the ground up. Determine business requirements, create logical models, build physical models and plan system architecture.
� Design and implement complex data models.
� Build ETL models using SSIS.
� Work in data migration projects to build migration scripts and integrate with existing databases and/or data feeds (Migrating from Lotus Notes).
� Work with software engineers and database engineers to ensure the overall application design is optimal.
� Working with Multiple environments (Development, Test, UAT, and Production).
� Design, implement and operate database systems for performance and reliability.
� Design and implement measurement systems to assess service delivery and key performance indicators of critical applications.
� Administer production and development databases, ensuring maximum availability.
� Develop, manage and test back-up and recovery plans.
� Conduct capacity planning for the databases for future growth.
� Ensure that storage, archiving, back-up and recovery procedures are functioning correctly.
� Provide instruction and guideline documentation as required.
� Ability to work under pressure.
