The Infection Control Nurse is responsible for coordination of the hospital-wide Infection Control Program which includes surveillance, analysis
Reporting of nosocomial infections; educating employees about infection control.
Assist in development of infection control policies and procedures to insure rigorous infection control standards that meet Joint Commission, OSHA, Public Health Department, and Center for Disease Control requirements.
Collaborate with the Infection Control Officer, also supports and acts as a resource to Administration, Medical Staff, and all hospital services.
Qualifications and License
BSc in Nursing
· Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery of minimum three and half years duration
· Diploma in Nursing of minimum three years duration
· Experience requirement waived for graduates of UAE nursing colleges/universities after completion of internship.
· License in country of origin (if available)
· Current National License
· Current BLS
NLT 2 years post graduate experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute hospital setting
