A New Pub in the heart of Dubai International Financial District is in need of Bartenders (Male and Female).

1. PRIMARY JOB PURPOSE

Deliver and serve cocktails and beverages item in a friendly, courteous and timely manner resulting in guest satisfaction.

2. KEY POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES

The Barman is responsible and accountable for (but not limited to) the following:

Functional and Technical:
Perform all necessary tasks to service F&B according to the Standard Operating Policies and Procedures (SOPP) of the bar.
Opening: Make sure that all the tasks are followed as per the bar opening checklist.
Recommend, take orders and serve the guests maintaining excellent quality, service and hygiene standards.
Full knowledge of the menus, both F&B offerings, to the guests and up sells where possible.
Responsive and helpful with regard to off menu items such as classic cocktails and expand personal knowledge in this area as much as possible.
Check beverages for quality and presentation before serving to guest.
Serve drinks to customer in a friendly and helpful manner and with a smile bearing reference to service policies and procedures.
Ensure that all the guests are served with a friendly attitude, promote a caring way of service & create loyal & satisfied guests as well as improved business performance.
Achieve total guest satisfaction and organisational profitability through effective utilisation of all resources.
Warmly greet guests on arrival, acknowledge returning / regular guests.
Be attentive, not only to the guests needs, but to the work colleagues around from other departments.
Communicate and work collectively as a team with all the departments within the business.
Remove glasses from tables or counters; take them to kitchen for cleaning.
Ensure that all bar equipment is operational and functional.
Closing: Follow the closing checklist of the bar making sure that the bar is properly closed down with stations restocked if possible, all fridges are locked and the ice machines are working.
Maintain at all times good customer relationship.

Miscellaneous:
Attend mandatory meetings including divisional meetings, executive meetings, staff meetings, etc.
Keep work area clean and organized.
Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor.

3. SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Flamboyant and bar tending skills coupled with thorough knowledge about all types of wines, liquor and cocktails.
Dedication and willingness to go above and beyond in a hospitality driven environment.
Ability to communicate in English, with guests and employees, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger and to collect accurate information and to resolve problems.
Well presented, smart in appearance and well groomed individual with an outgoing and friendly attitude and a high aptitude for customer care.
Hands-on and proactive person with a charismatic and approachable character and who thrives in working with a multi-cultural team and guests.
Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods.
Interpersonal skills to provide overall guest satisfaction.
