We are running a compound in Saudi Arabia and are looking for an experienced Procurement Officer to assist with the day-to-day procurement need.

The ideal candidate will have worked in a fast paced environment with many transactions (50+/week), preferably with some experience in a food and beverage environment, as well as project or construction procurement.

We have an international team coming from 10-12 different countries and different educational and cultural backgrounds and would therefore need someone accustomed to operating in multi-cultural environments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Searches for the highest quality merchandise at the lowest possible purchase cost.
Secures (3-5) manufacturers for each product at varying costs and qualities
Obtains best credit facilities, payment and delivery terms with the suppliers
Produces quick and accurate quotations to Head of Bookkeeping inquiries and submits the required paperwork such as filled vendor creation form and service agreement (if there is any) to Finance Department for purchase order be issued.
Directs and coordinates the procurement of goods, supplies & services essential to the house supplies operation
Supervises delivery of goods supplies & services, ensuring delivery note details and purchase order details are matched.
Manages the purchasing and inventory activities of the house, estimate price and product availability inventory usage
Forecast procurement needs of the house
Manages vendor relationships and assist in building effective partnerships with suppliers.
