JOB TITLE: Group Management Accountant - Finance
REPORTS TO: General Manager Finance
To manage the financial resources and to maintain the short and long term financial health of the Group by coordinating all financial transactions, systems and procedures complying with regulations, accounting principles and standards in the Group.
The role will involve supporting the Group Financial Accountant and the Group General Manager : Finance in controlling all financial functions. The role will also involve dealing with Financial Controller of other business Unit and Business Unit Head's as well as the GM's by providing them guidelines and resources to achieve the profitable growth of the business.
To enhance the interface and information flow between the finance function and the business through the group reporting, forecasting and planning processes.
To work with the Group General Manager : Finance to deliver strategic leadership on financial issues.
To analyse the organisations revenues, liabilities, credit conditions, and other financial indicators to forecast its shorts, medium, and long-term cash flow position
To liaise with the companys auditors
1. Management of the group management reporting
To lead the finance teams activities
To coordinate their tasks on a short term and long term basis
To train develop and assess the finance team.
2. Management of the day-to-day financial activities of the organisation
To drive all financial analysis and reporting, insurance, inventory and cost control
To manage the budgeting and forecasting processes
To work closely with the Group Financial Accountant in other geographical regions to ensure consistency and standards in provide financial management support to the business
To analyse the organizations revenues, liabilities, credit conditions and other financial indicators
To ensure that project plans are updated accurately and that they meet the needs of the business and Directors
3. Delivery of strategic advices related to finance
To review, update and/or implement policy and procedure manuals to meet the companys objectives
To deliver financial reports, technical expertise, findings and recommendations to the executive team via participation in the bi-monthly regional board meetings
To manage the preparation of detail management financial analyst reports, profit and loss statement and balance sheets
To evaluate and recommend investments, funding sources, and other financial matters.
Part Two: Personality Profile
1. Education and Training
Bachelors degree in accounting/finance and a professional accounting qualification i.e. ACCA, CA, CMA, CPA.
Minimum 15 years of relevant experience with medium to large scale companies with at least 5 to 7 years as Head of the Finance function
Experience in Manufacturing or Packaging in very Important
Good systems experience along with Advance excel
