Proven work experience as a warehouse manager in chemical industry
Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices

Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Warehouse Manager must be able to deal with general management and strategic planning whilst also able to involve themselves in practical work on the warehouse floor along with Store keepers.
Co-ordination with Logistic departments for materials receiving and shifting (primarily for vehicle arrangement).
Should regularly communicate with sales dept, finance dept. purchase dept. and develop smooth co-ordination.
Develop and enhance process workflows, evaluate and make recommendations for system improvements in stores management.
Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures.
Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations
Controls and manage the inventory levels/stock control by conducting physical counts; reconciling with ERP system.
Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning store keepers; following up on work results.Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Training store keepers about the efficient warehouse and inventory management and monitor them to achieve the desired results.
Producing regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
Controlling the wastage of inventories across all the plants and work towards minimizing the waste in order to improve productivity in all areas of operation.
Coordinate with purchase dept. and production dept for proper supply chain management
Managing the first in and first out of finished goods and raw material inventory in proper manner.
Coordinate with inventory controller/finance department on regular basis to ensure no differences between ERP and physical stock.
Regularly checking the slow moving and dead stock , and taking up the proper action to control the dead and slow moving stock.
Conversant with the law, rules and regulations and guidance of Municipality with regard to procurement, safety arrangement and control of stock.
Experience of having working in chemical industry and across chemical products.
