Events & Marketing Coordinator Job

Experienced professional with ability to handle events and administration for a distributor based in Dubai.

- Assist with coordination of up to 40 events per year. Must be able to anticipate project needs, work priorities and meet deadlines with little supervision.

- The event coordinator should have a love for event management, provide outstanding customer service, be an enthusiastic professional and be able to build relationships with customers. The position is most suited to someone who is organised, time efficient and creative.

- Coordinate a full calendar of events including training seminars, conferences, trade shows and meetings
Work with the team to plan the calendar, taking into account industry requirements, presenter obligations and any other factor that may arise
- Arrange bespoke training for clients to suit their needs, coordinating venue, trainer, product and materials
- Calculate event budgets and ensure they are met
- Coordinate and monitor event timelines and ensure deadlines are reached
- Gain maximum attendance for each event through press releases, social media and client relationship management
- Design and edit promotional materials both in house and with design and printing vendor
- Coordinate event logistics including registration and attendee tracking, presentations and materials and post event evaluations.
- Book event spaces, arrange food and beverage, order supplies, audiovisual equipment and event signs
- Use each event as an opportunity to grow the company database
- Handle all event correspondence
- Propose new ideas to improve the event planning and implementation process
- Handle all events on site as they take place
- Gather information on all previous company projects including site visits and photography
- Handle the company's social media accounts using Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube
- Creation of press releases, print adverts and online banner ads

Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills, including writing, proof reading and speaking
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments from a variety of staff
- Excellent interpersonal skills both in person and by phone, with high professionalism
- Ability to accomplish projects with little supervision.
- Fantastic customer service and high expectations for quality
- At least 3 years experience with office administrative management.
- At least 1 year experience coordinating events.
- Proficient using the latest versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, mail platforms, email and web searches
