Position is Basrah and will require trips for Meetings in Dubai
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
THE PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE FABRICATION PROJECT MANAGER IS MANAGE THE OPERATIONS OF AWIS BASRAH FABRICATION SHOP. CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE IN ALL AREAS OF STEEL STRUCTURE FABRICATION AS WELL AS FABRICATION OF PIPING SPOOLS. HAVE THE ABILITY TO MANAGE A MEDIUM TO LARGE MULTINATIONAL WORKFORCE IN ALL ASPECTS OF FABRICATION. MAINTAIN GOOD WORKING RELATIONSHIP WITH CUSTOMERS AND DELIVER TIMELY RESULT ONGOING AND GROWING OPERATIONS TO MATCH PROJECT REQUIREMENTS.
Establish and deliver on aggressive production targets
Manage Shop scheduling to include Materials Management and Manpower tasking
Maximize facility throughput to reduce impact of facilities overhead
Promote Safety and Quality in Operations
Regularly review ongoing operation to improve processes and reduce cost
Review Project progress, Project Change orders and Customer Task Orders.
Manage fabrication facility.
Excellent knowledge with ASME and API codes and standards.
Excellent knowledge with QAQC requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Candidate should have a Mechanical Engineering Degree or similar discipline with 10+ years Fabrication/Piping Management experience. Ability to Manage Customer relations and Manage and Improve Fabrication Operations. Position requires computer literacy in scheduling and project management software.
