Abu Ahmed Meat Trading (âAAMTâ) is based in Dubai UAE and has been in business since 1984, serving clients across the Emirates including 5 star hotels with the highest quality of meat and poultry. We trade in fresh, chilled, and frozen meats (meat and chicken), supplying, storing, handling, and manually packing meat for a predominant Client base with over 40 five star hotels. We also sell retail meats to walk-in customers and home deliver as well.
With a wide range of different meat, lamb, and poultry cuts. We strive to set ourselves apart from the competition through high safety standards, high quality meats, exceptional relationships with our suppliers, and 24-hour responsiveness and agility to our Client requests. AAMT has operated from its Deira location since its opening, but is now expanding to a new operation location in Ras Al Khor.
We are seeking an Accounting Manager to be based in AAMT Ras Al Khor branch.
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for both branchâs financial accounting and will report directly to the General Manager (GM).
Ideal candidates for the Accounting Manager role at AAMT have at least 5 years relevant work experience.
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for:
â¢ Monitor, track, and manage companyâs day-to-day accounting activities including payments, receivables, payables, etc.
â¢ Develop standard financial statements including: Income statement, balance sheet, cash-flow, and P & L
â¢ Daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports showing sales (revenue), cost of goods sold, gross margins, profit, gross profit, expenses, other financial ratios and key performance indicators (KPIs) for review with General Manager (GM)
â¢ Clearly communicate forecasting monthly/quarterly financial performance to GM with a focus on accounts receivables, accounts payables, and other accruals
â¢ Responsible for managing and dispensing petty cash based on prescribed budget
â¢ Ability to develop annual operational budget across company (marketing, operations, HR, etc.)
â¢ Knowledge of, and advanced ability in popular accounting software
â¢ Developing trusted relationship with key client / customer, and suppliers accountants, and supply chain executives
â¢ Ensuring timely payments to suppliers and customers according to required policies and procedures
â¢ Fully understand, and implement AAMTâs accounting cash flow and payment policies
â¢ Foresee client orders and reflect the same on monthly reports
â¢ Pitch relevant âadded savingsâ and âadded revenuesâ opportunities using insights and business intelligence from accounting data and personal work experience
â¢ Proactively discover effective ways to generate more revenue and increase efficiency.
â¢ Act as the primary point of contact for all payment related queries; from customer follow ups to supplier transfers
â¢ University Graduate with accounting, or finance degree
â¢ Referenceable qualifications in Accounting & Finance is mandatory requirement
â¢ Excellent advanced experience with accounting software and MS Office.
â¢ 5 years work experience managing accounting for a medium-sized wholesale & retail products company
â¢ Ability to respond to questions from customers; good communication skills
â¢ English or Arabic language
â¢ Passionate and self-motivated
