Designation: Asst. Store Manager
1)Ensure that the Top Line sales targets are achieved.
2)Organize and conduct daily meeting with the team - To share information on store performance and plan activities for the day.
3)Analyze on a regular basis on the Store performance parameters like - Top Line sales, No. of bills generate, average ticket size, Stock turns and Inventory turnover etc.
4)Discuss the importance of these parameters with the team on regular basis and make / recommend appropriate decisions.
5)Maintain statistics relating to customer profiling and advise BM / BUYER / MERCHANDISER accordingly to improve the product width, range, & sizing.
6)Recommend / implement changes in the floor layout as necessary to increase the visual appeal, convenience, and sales in the store.
7)Monitor and continuously seek to understand commercial environment, local trading patterns, competitor activity, and market trends in the retail sector and their impact in store.
8)Monitor the handling of customer complaints in line with Company policy.
9)To maintain strict levels of confidentiality with regard to all areas of the business particularly commercial information and personal details of employees.
10)Ensure store expectations and priorities are communicated to staff and regularly review and provide feedback on staffs performance against expectations.
11)Implement and maintain a relevant induction programme in line with company policy.
12)Carry out regular and relevant in-store training and enroll staff on relevant Learning and Development courses.
13)Ensure that staff adopt and adhere to the company dress code in order to promote a positive and professional image at all times.
14)Deal with staff discipline, performance, and grievances in accordance with the company policy.
15)Provide department reports on slow moving, fast moving, and non-moving items to the ASM, and Merchandise Manager.
16)Maintain a high level of store security for company assets, cash, stock and employee property.
17)Monitor sales performance against last year & last week. and budget on a daily and weekly basis and to give feedback to ASM and to the staff.
18)Ensure seasonal peaks, troughs and important trading/promotional events are taken account of when preparing forecasts and staff rosters.
19)Recommend and implement systems relation to best practices in customer service management.
20)Develop and mentor subordinates to move to the next higher level of the job through career planning.
21)Ensure prevention of stock losses within your store by driving awareness and implementing preventative plans.
22)Ensure sales are replenished from the back store on daily basis.
23)Co-ordinate with warehouse for the stocks requirement.
