JOB DESCRIPTION:
Under direction, performs a variety of shipping/receiving, stocking activities; maintains inventory and stock records; may serve as a lead worker and perform related work as required.

SCOPE: The Storekeeper is responsible for all store operations activities including shipping and receiving, deliveries, coordinating stock, documenting store transactions, maintaining records, and managing inventory.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Receives and inspects all incoming materials and reconciles with purchase orders; processes and distributes documentation with purchase orders; reports, documents and tracks damages and discrepancies on orders received.

2. Receives and stores documents and confidential files; maintains record of approved documents.

3. Resolves discrepancies regarding receipts, and deliveries.

4. Performs general store keeping and store duties; maintain accurate manual and computer records; perform physical labor; understand and carry out oral and written instructions; drive a forklift (will train if needed); maintain cooperative working relationships.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination of education and experience. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Education: Graduation with accounting or commerce degree or diploma. Experience: Two years increasingly responsible experience working in warehouse and storage operations. Forklift operation certification is an asset.
