Accountabilities
Vendor Management: Manage relationships with payment service providers, banks, and other vendors to negotiate contracts, monitor service levels, and ensure alignment with business objectives and customer requirements.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics related to payment processing, transaction volumes, success rates, and customer satisfaction, and take proactive measures to address issues and optimize performance.
Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic plans and initiatives to enhance the airline's payment solutions, including the adoption of new technologies, expansion of payment options, and optimization of payment processes.
Payment System Management: Oversee the operation and optimization of the airline's payment systems, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Project Management: Lead and support cross-functional projects and initiatives related to payment solutions, including system upgrades, process improvements, and integration with other systems and platforms.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including finance, IT, marketing, and customer service, to align payment solutions with business objectives, product offerings, and customer experience strategies.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about regulatory changes and updates related to payment processing, data privacy, and consumer protection laws, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
Risk Management: Identify and assess risks associated with payment processing and implement controls and mitigation strategies.
Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in payment processing, fraud prevention, regulatory compliance, and emerging technologies.
Team Leadership: Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to a team of Payment Solution Officers, including performance management, coaching, and professional development to ensure high levels of engagement, productivity, and collaboration.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, information technology, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications in payment systems, financial technology, or project management are a plus.
5+ years of experience in payment solutions, financial services, or e-commerce, with demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and leading strategic initiatives.
Strong understanding of payment technologies, including payment gateways, merchant accounts, card networks, and alternative payment methods, as well as industry regulations and compliance standards.
Proven track record of driving results through strategic planning, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence decision-making, and drive change at all levels of the organization.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, analyze trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize payment processes and improve business outcomes.
Leadership qualities including integrity, accountability, resilience, and a commitment to fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
