Working under customs brokerage team and reporting to the regional compliance manager, the job is to coordinate with all business units of NOV and ensure documentation and meeting other regulatory requirements for the clearance of all imports, exports, and transfer of NOV shipments, maintaining the highest standards of customs and other regulatory compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identify the appropriate declarations to be filed with customs when goods move in or out of NOV facilities and across borders and file the appropriate declarations through local customs Systems.
File DEPOSIT/GUARANTEE claims through online system on time.
Monitor and track all post clearance requirements such as following up on Guarantee/Deposit Claims, temporary admission deposits, document submission etc.
Alerting Business Units before the expiry of claims.
Reconcile inventory of each legal entity when goods move in and out and prepare such reconciliation reports to present to ZATCA.
Represent NOV organizations before government bodies in Saudi Arabia, such as Customs, SASO, MOI for industrial exemption application, and others.
Issue Letter of Instructions to customs brokers and ensure that customs brokers follow the instructions, by verifying the clearance documentation.
Responsible for maintaining NOV’s records regarding Customs transactions, to ensure an effective and efficient response to any internal or external audit.
Be up to date with all customs and other related regulations and prepare the departments to meet the requirements therein.
Monitor Customs portal and ensure that all transactions are accounted for by corresponding business units. Classify NOV and third party products as and when required.
Ensure each department has a document retention process and system and the documents can be retrieved upon request.
Act on pre-alerts and identify special permit requirements and take measures to obtain the permits before shipments arrive or coordinate with shippers to isolate such items from shipments if they are likely to cause delays or issues.
Complete port and airport authorities and Chamber of Commerce documentation requirements related to the exit and entry of shipments.
BEHAVIORAL SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/SKILL-SET REQUIRED:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in import export, customs operations, Ministry of Industry for raw data and duty exemption applications.
Bachelor’s degree or above from a recognized university.
Knowledge of local and international regulations and practices on supply chain.
