Develop, document, and improve manufacturing processes
Develop quality plans for products
Develop and implement corrective action based on root cause analysis
Develop lean manufacturing procedures, reduce product lean time, promote visual factory environment
Plan, commission and maintain machine and assembly production lines
Lead quality improvement efforts through training, communication and implementation of new processes
Manage equipment purchase and installation;
Prepare manufacturing documentation
Coordinate projects
Work closely with internal and external customers, as well as vendors to resolve issues and provide technical support
Key member of Product Design Team, working with Design Engineers to develop and introduce new products
Establish and maintain cellular layouts
Lead and direct meetings with other team members and hourly associates
Knowledge/Skills:
Manufacturing Engineer with 3-5 years experience preferred. Will consider recent graduates with solid intern experience.
BS in Engineering and /or Manufacturing or equivalent
Lean manufacturing practices ( Kanban, Poke-Yoke, JIT, Value Stream Mapping)
Experience with Assembly Operations, Metal Machining processes and tool design
SPC implementation and practical application
Ability to think progressively and creatively while keeping the future of the company and its employees in mind
Excellent teamwork and collaboration capabilities
Basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Strong Communication skills (written and public speaking)
